Don't worry, I'm alive...

Happy holidays you beautiful lot! Apologies for the lack of posting recently. I've started working on some new projects and things have been even more mental than normal!

So, I thought I'd fill you all in, cos I know some of you were wondering what the bloody hell I've been doing with my time.

As always, I've been having a blast doing my best to help Nottingham musicians with Nusic. Crazy to think I've been there a year and two months, and with an exciting 2015 coming up, I cannot wait to continue.

Alongside that, Leftlion rehired me to work on the Young Creative Awards and City of Football. I'm beyond grateful to be working on such exciting projects! Massive thanks to everyone who's made this a possibility. In case you don't know what they are, lemme give you a brief rundown...

So, the Young Creative Awards are... well, awards for young, creative people in Nottingham. I guess the name kind of gave that bit away. But, hear me out, this isn't just another naff school talent competition. There's loads of categories, and some pretty exciting prizes/opportunities for the winners. This year's theme is "Made in Nottingham", interpret that how you will. You can find out more about them HERE.

And City of Football? Well, basically, earlier in the year Nottingham was competing alongside Manchester and Portsmouth to become England's first City of Football. Becoming the city of football meant receiving funding that would allow Notts to get more people playing grassroots football. Despite being overweight, I used to love playing footy when I was younger, but I did struggle to find opportunities to play. So, to open more up more of them and get more people involved, makes me very happy. Find out more about COF HERE.

That's the dayjob shizzle.

Alongside that, I'm still trying my best to post on here a few times a week. Popshade has some very exciting interviews coming in 2015 and hopefully we'll be starting our own live music night up in Notts too. Make sure to check out our latest interview with the ridiculously talented Vanessa Elisha HERE.

On New Year's day I'll be posting my delayed as hell best of 2014 post. Until then, I'll wish you all a happy new year. I reckon 2015 is gonna be our best year yet!

Much love,
Sam x
