A new beginning... kinda.

Regular readers may remember this time last year I started daily blogging. Unfortunately, life got in the way after a few months, and I stopped posting as frequently.

Well, guess what lucky internet people, I'm gonna start it again!

Yup, from October 12th I'm gonna post something on here every single day. I'll think of a few daily themes to help keep it guided, stuff like #MusicMondays (but you know, with a less wank name).

I'm looking forward to the challenge and also sharing some of my wonderful life with you folks. I'm very blessed, and lucky to love the life I live. Documenting it in some way feels right.

So, yeah - I'll see you in a little over a week. Enjoy your pumpkin spice latte's yo!

Much love,
Sam x

Life is good.

I'm really happy that I get to say that. I'm very lucky that I get to say that. And I'm also very grateful I get to say that.

This Summer has been awesome so far. In fact, screw it - 2015 has been awesome so far! Now the madness of July has gone, I've finally had time to reflect and realise just how nice these past few months have been.

I've had the pleasure of going to all the Notts festivals and had many fun, odd, and downright brilliant experiences. No Tomorrow was a personal highlight. Jessie Ware, John Newman and Blonde were all pretty incredible.

Working with Saint Raymond and Liam Bailey on their debut album launches was pretty special - and the pieces of content we made to go along with them - the Nusic Presents are possibly my favourite pieces of work I've put my name to. Check 'em out below.

What else is new in my life? Oh yeah, I met a lovely lady that goes by the name of Nikki. If any of you stalk my social media, you've probs seen her face a bit. She's a lovely human being who I very much enjoy spending my time with. She makes me a better person - and keeps me happy (as long as she isn't dissing my music taste!) pretty much all the time. The only issue is she lives in Grimbsy, but, you know, we're making it work. Trains can actually be quite therapeutic if you put yourself in the right mindset.

Most of you will know I've always had a bit of a thing for country music. And, that thing has grown. I think if you forced me, now I'd say my favourite genre of music is country. Even overtaking flat-out pop (I know, big talk!) Now, I'm not particularly talking about traditional country, more country with plenty of pop influence. That lil vid above this para is one of my favourite songs I've ever heard. It's got over a 100 plays in my iTunes at the min, and I only first heard it a month or so ago!

Oh, and I went to the most epic birthday party in the world the other week! It was for my mate James. Live bands, portaloos (seriously man, how cool is that?), food stalls, it was so sick. I took some photos (tried out my fancy new wide-angle lens!). You can check 'em out below...

I know you're probs getting bored now, so I'll wrap this up. But in the least cheesy way possible, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who makes my life as good as it is. My family, my friends, my colleagues. You're all pretty awesome. And I'm pretty damn happy right now, so thank you.

Much love,

Sam x

Okay, this is a bit belated, but happy new year!

Can you believe 2014 is over already? It's flew by quicker than... okay I have no decent comparison, but you get what I'm trying to say.

2014 has been the best, craziest, most enjoyable and most surreal year of my life. I've been through a lot. I moved out, went through a serious breakup, had the pleasure of doing my dream job day in day out, made lots of new friends, went to lots of gigs, started drinking, stopped drinking, worked on some incredibly exciting projects, lost weight. started writing more, and so many other things that my brain can't comprehend into words right now.

My life is completely different to a year ago. But I'm glad it changed. As hard as it was becoming independent and not being with my family all the time, it's made me a much stronger person.

I find it a bit weird to think a year ago I didn't know how to use a washer or a fuse box. But, you know, you learn.

Now we're into 2015. I'm determined to make this my best year yet.

Resolutions? I don't particularly have any strong ones. But there are a few things I'd like to stop/start doing this year.

- Stop talking about myself all the time - I know I do it. Please, if over the course of our conversation I haven't asked about you, slap me.

- Stop worrying - I do this a lot less than I used to. But I am the kind of person that worries about things out of my control a lot. I plan to stop this affecting my life.

- Spend more time with friends - I suck at this big time. Work has always come first. Let's do more fun things.

- Get more into presenting - I like looking at myself, and I like talking. Presenting is basically the perfect role for me. I wanna get more involved in radio/TV/YT presenting. And also look at how I can develop my presenting technique.

- Learn to cook - Seriously Sam, you can't carry on eating 14 meal deals a week

That's about it. I don't believe you need a new year to make a change. That's why I've been hitting the gym four times a week since early December. But, I've had a bit of time off and it's been nice to reflect on the year. Those are just a few of the things that sprung to mind,

2015, come at me. I'm ready for ya.

Much love,
Sam x

Chances are if you're reading this, that you'll know I'm a bit of a vain sod. And, you'll also know I'm good mates with a fella known as Jack Walker.

Well, yesterday, me and Jack decided to grab our SLR's and head off out into the woodlands to develop our camera skills. Here's what happened.

Oh, and if you're wondering. I'm wearing all Zara and ASOS. Jack is wearing all Topman. Seriously, all Topman...

AND, BONUS - An out of focus, but, in my opinion hilarious pout. If I ever become a crappy pop musician, this is going to be my EP cover.

Much love,
Sam x
