Things have been crazy over the past few weeks. I know I say that every bloody time I write one of these posts, but, it's been extra crazy this time.
I've had the pleasure of being a part of Confetti's Industry Week, where 60 or so professionals in the creative industries all come in to give talks/workshops. I've been part of the radio show every day between 12-2, and it was an amazing experience.
I had the pleasure of interviewing some incredibly inspiring people, including Jamal Edwards (founder of SBTV), Shane Meadows (Director of This Is England among other films) and Mistajam (BBC Radio 1 DJ). They all gave some very insightful advice, and it was an great experience for me to interview people of such a high social stature. Despite the fact I interviewed these people, my friend only decided to take a picture of me interviewing Lydia Rose Bewley, of The Inbetweeners Movie Fame, but she was lovely, and I really enjoyed the interview. So I'll let him off.
I've found a new obsession recently. It's with the chilled electronic music that seems to have made a popularity increase thanks to Majestic Casual. I have no idea how to classify it. But it reminds me of some of the garage tunes I used to love when I was younger. Above you'll find an great example of what I'm trying to explain; and below you'll find this absolute banger of a pop-garage tune that I've had in my head all week.
ABSOLUTE TUNE! Am I right? No? Go away...
Anyways. There's your update peeps. I'll be back once I have more brainwaves I wish to tell the world about.
